Elon Musk has claimed Tesla is set for record sales after a ‘hell of a year’.
The billionaire boss of the electric car maker has laid out plans for global expansion and insisted critics had been overly pessimistic about its prospects.
Musk’s comments come after concerns about Tesla’s profitability, his erratic behaviour and battles with regulators. Musk added: ‘It has been a hell of a year, but a lot of good things are happening.’
The 47-year-old also revealed Tesla engineers had drawn up designs for a James Bond-style submarine car – but that making one would be an unnecessary distraction.
